The Scottish comedian has recently left BBC's Mock the Week in sheer desperation after being repeatedly accused of being funny in public. "The BBC doesn't like laughter any more," Mr Boyle continued. "It accompanies the distant risk that someone, somewhere might be mildly offended by what you're saying. Robert Lindsay was raked over the coals by the Director General himself last week just because of a rumour that a pensioner in Standish chuckled while watching My Family, but it turned out to be a little cough.

 

"Personally I believe that comedy shows should begin with the phrase 'Those who are easily offended may want to fuck off and die' so that there's no confusion. Then we can get on with the business of ripping the piss out of Rebecca Addlington. Show me a person who didn't reel away from their TV in shock after seeing her face emerge from the water like a monkfish's arse and I'll show you a blind man. Or her mum."

 

BBC spokesman Peter Rout told Stinky Ponky "We are still carefully reintegrating Jonathon Woss into the system after he shamelessly made people laugh by telling the truth in a naughty way on his radio show. Andrew Sachs is a much loved figure and of course he has a fine comedy career himself. He never once tried to get a cheap laugh at someone else's expense while he clowned around on Fawlty Towers as a bumbling, incompetent, idiotic Spanish waiter with a poor grip of the English language.
